So, Get Set, Go!

Cards with royal flush

What a royal combination there is on the top of the list! All high cards from the royal suits are there together forming the topmost and the best hand ranking known as the Royal Flush. This hand is a combination of five royal cards that are Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and Ten of the same suit (be it all spades, diamonds, hearts, or clubs). If you have got this hand, consider yourself as the luckiest and closest to winning the pot.

Cards with straight flush

The second strongest hand after Royal Flush is the Straight Flush. This hand comprises five cards of the same suit in a consecutive sequence, like 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6. If two players are found to have the same category of hands, then the winning hand will be decided by the High Card. For example a Straight Flush of 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 will be beaten by the Straight Flush of J, 10, 9, 8, 7.

Another strong hand on the list after the Royal Flush and the Straight Flush is the Four of a Kind. This is also considered to be a powerful hand and can take you close to winning.

In this particular hand, there are four cards of equal rank, that is why it is called the Four of a Kind or Quads. Like A (of diamonds), A (of spades), A (of clubs), A (of hearts), and any other card as the fifth card.

Poker winning hands with full house/full boat

This is the fourth category of hand ranking. Full House or Full Boat is a combination of three cards of the same rank and a pair of any other rank of cards. A combination of 10, 10, 10, 8, 8, and A, A, A, 10, 10 is an example of Full House. Here also in case of a tie, where three cards held by the players are the same, the pair with the high card ranking will decide the winner.

Best poker hands with flush

Coming to the fifth category of hand ranking, the Flush comprises a combination of any five cards of the same suit irrespective of their sequence. Like 2, 6, K, 8, 4 (all of the diamonds) and J, 9, 5, 3, 2 (all of the spades) make a Flush. If two players have a flush then the person with the highest card of that suit wins.

Poker hands with straight

This is the sixth category in the hand rankings hierarchy. Straight is when there are five cards in a sequence regardless of their suit. Like 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (of any suit). If two players have a straight, then the person with the higher card wins. Do not misunderstand this with the Straight Flush as in that combination the consecutive cards with the same suit make a Straight Flush.

Poker hands chart of three of Kind / Set

As the name suggests, in this type of hand ranking combination, there are three cards of the same rank and the remaining two do not form a pair. Like K, K, K, 7, 4 is an example of Three of a Kind. Again like any other hand ranking, high cards are the tie-breakers.

Poker winning hands with two pair

Moving to the Two Pair hand ranking after Three of a Kind. In this hand, there are two pairs of different ranks and one card of any other rank. Like in 8, 8, 5, 5, J. This category is eighth in the sequence of the best hand rankings. High cards decide the winner in case of a tie.

Poker winning hands with pair / one pair

This is the second-lowest category in the list of best hand rankings in poker. This is a hand in which two cards of the same rank make a pair and the remaining three are from different ranks. Like in 9, 9, 5, 2, K.

Texas holdem poker hands with high card

In a High Card hand, there are no combinations formed, so the card with the highest rank is valued. This is the least valued hand ranking in poker.

In the case of the player having the second-highest card wins, and if necessary, the third-highest, fourth-highest, and smallest card can be used to break the tie.
